09 Dec 2025 My Cloud Dancer Side Quest
Last week Pantone announced the 2026 Color of the Year and it sent me on a side quest.
If you’re thinking, “Pantone? Who’s that?”
Well, they’re the company that makes sure when you say chartreuse, you don’t end up with someone else’s idea of yellowish-green.
Designers, brands, and even paint companies use their system so everyone’s talking about the same color.
And every year, they choose one shade they think captures the mood of the moment.
For 2026, that shade is Cloud Dancer: a soft, airy white that’s supposed to feel calm and open and full of breathing room.
The chatter online is, it’s just white. But as soon as I saw it, the feeling clicked — I knew exactly what they were going for.
It’s that moment when I finally clear a space I’ve been avoiding.
You may know the spot — the mail pile in the kitchen, the chair-turned-closet, or the bathroom counter where five products magically become seventeen. (The last was my recent reality when my daughter, Iphy, was home for Thanksgiving.)
And after ignoring it for longer than I’d like to admit, I finally say, Okay… let’s just deal with this.
I sort the pile, wipe the surface, and put things back where they actually belong.
And when I’m done, it all looks brighter. I didn’t do anything major, but it sure makes a difference — the space feels a whole lot better (and so do I).
That is Cloud Dancer.
It’s a subtle reset that makes the room feel like it finally took a deep breath.
And that’s what we aim to create with every Maid Brigade cleaning — while we don’t sort mail or curate your cosmetics, we take care of the cleaning so the whole home feels lighter and you’re left with a calm, clean space that supports you.
And if you’re in the mood for a tiny “Cloud Dancer moment” of your own, here’s a simple 10-minute reset:
- Clear one surface you’ve been avoiding
- Toss or recycle anything that’s been lingering too long
- Give it a quick wipe
- Add one thing you love — a candle, a plant, a photo
- Take a few seconds to enjoy how much lighter the space feels
It’s amazing how even a little reset can shift the whole vibe — now imagine that feeling multiplied.
If you’re already a Maid Brigade customer, you know exactly what I mean — that lifted-shoulders, lighter-home feeling after we’ve been there.
If you’re not a customer yet, you can click here to set up a quick call with our team so you can experience it yourself.
Because at the end of the day, Cloud Dancer isn’t just about color — it’s about that tiny breath of calm we all crave. The one you feel when your space finally stops competing for your attention in that low-key nagging way.
No matter what, I hope you get a moment like that this week.
Cheerfully,
