Why do I send Tuesday emails?

So, it’s coming up on a year now of me sending these emails every Tuesday (minus one accidental Thursday and a quiet week between Christmas and New Year’s) and I thought I’d share the quick-ish why.

They’re not always about cleaning.

Sometimes they’re about something I can’t stop thinking about.
Sometimes it’s something small that happened in a very regular Tuesday kind of way.
Sometimes it’s the world being … the world.
And yes, sometimes it’s about cleaning.

But there’s a reason for the mix.

Most people find a housecleaning service the same way they find a plumber: they Google “housecleaning near me,” click a couple of websites, and hope for the best.

And I get it. That’s how the internet trains us.

The problem is, it makes every cleaning company look the same.
Same promises. Same stock photos. Same “we’re reliable!” language.

But that’s not how I think about this work.

To me, a clean home is one of the simplest forms of support you can give yourself and your family. It affects how you feel in your space, how you function day to day, and how much bandwidth you have for the stuff that actually matters.

And the people who do this work professionally? They’re not background characters. They’re skilled. They deserve respect, great tools, fair pay, real benefits, and a company that has their back.

So these Tuesday emails are my way of making something clear:

We’re a different kind of cleaning company.

We care about the humans (and their pets!!!) in the home and the humans doing the work.
We treat cleaning like it’s connected to well-being, not just appearances.
We aim for consistency and trust.
And we keep trying to get better—because this work matters more than a lot of people give it credit for.

That’s why I keep showing up here every Tuesday.

Cheerfully,

Robin Murphy
