I had big plans for my extra hour

“When you have time, you fold the laundry.
When you don’t, you make the chair.”

I’m not sure who said that, but we all know the chair — the one that serves as a temporary clothing drop zone.

I personally don’t think it’s laziness; it’s anthropology. Proof that our relationship with time is complicated.

I always think more time will fix things.

With daylight saving time this weekend, I had big plans for my bonus hour.
But it almost vanished into scrolling and sorting before I caught the tail end with a well-intentioned (yet doomed) attempt to reunite a few uncoupled Tupperware lids with their containers.

I didn’t get much done, but it did make me think.
Maybe it’s not just time we need, but space — the kind that clears your head, calms your energy, and makes the day feel a little lighter.

That’s what we love creating at Maid Brigade. Because when your home finally exhales, you can too.

We can’t actually add more hours to your week, but we can give you back the best parts of them — calm, clarity, and that rare, wonderful sense that you’re caught up.

So if your chair is calling your name this week, don’t worry.
You’ve got the extra hour. We’ll help you make it count.

Cheerfully,
